Redefining How Events Do Food, Sustainably: ILEA NY Metro’s January Breakfast at The Altman Building

There is something energizing about a room full of event professionals coming together to exchange ideas before the workday begins. This January, The Altman Building proudly welcomed members of the International Live Events Association (ILEA) NY Metro Chapter for a thought-provoking discussion on food sustainability, bringing together hospitality and event professionals for an engaging conversation about the future of responsible dining within the events industry.

As a longtime supporter of the events community, Thomas Preti Events to Savor was honored to provide the morning’s culinary experience while The Altman Building served as the backdrop for an engaging panel discussion featuring respected leaders from across the industry.

Conversations That Inspire Innovation

The morning centered around an insightful panel discussion on event sustainability and the ongoing shift in how we source, prepare, and serve food. From reducing waste to prioritizing local and seasonal ingredients, sustainable practices help lower environmental impact while elevating the overall guest experience.

Breakfast Worth Waking Up For

No networking breakfast is complete without an exceptional menu, and our culinary team created a spread designed to be both approachable and elevated.

Guests enjoyed a thoughtfully curated breakfast featuring fresh seasonal pastries, vibrant fruit displays, artisan breakfast selections, premium coffee service, and chef-inspired morning favorites that encouraged guests to linger, connect, and start the day on a high note.

At Thomas Preti Events to Savor, we believe food should enhance every event experience—even before 9 a.m.—and breakfast gatherings offer the perfect opportunity to create memorable first impressions.

A Space Designed for Connection

The Altman Building’s historic architecture and flexible event space provided the ideal setting for both formal programming and casual networking. Before and after the panel, attendees had the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, meet new industry professionals, and continue conversations sparked during the discussion.

Events like the ILEA Breakfast remind us that our industry is built on relationships, creativity, and a willingness to continually learn from one another.

We are grateful to ILEA NY Metro for choosing The Altman Building as host venue and to everyone who joined us for a morning of education, inspiration, and community. We look forward to welcoming the events industry back again soon.
